The Eyes Have It
Eyes first? Really? According to a recent survey it seems men don't focus on a woman's breast first, but their eyes. Followed by their smile. And then their breasts. We wonder who these men were that were surveyed?
They claim the stereotypical man, who notices a woman's breast first, is disappearing. Do you think it might just be significant that the survey of 1000 men was carried out by a firm who make eye drops? The men were asked about their first impressions of women they meet for the first time or pass in the street. The survey reports that 70% of men listed eyes, smile, breasts, hair and weight as the first things they notice in that order.
A spokesman for the company said: 'Eyes usually tell us a lot about a person so we aren’t surprised that eyes are what draws us to the opposite sex. Until you get to talk to a person for the first time, all you have to go on is the way they look, a simple smile is also something that both genders notice in each other.' All of which is probably true, we're just not convinced about the eyes first! We did a quick survey of our own in the Office and I'm afraid our men don't agree! Overwhelmingly they told us they notice breasts first!
They go on to say that 1 in 10 men admit to walking into a lamp post after being distracted by an attractive woman! Don't worry, guys, apparently we women are just as susceptible to good looks. Seventeen per cent of women surveyed said they had walked past their destination and had to turn around and go back after setting eyes on a good looking guy!
It probably won't come as a surprise to you to discover that the women surveyed also put eyes top of their list. So here's the run down on what the survey found and the order:
Men: Eyes, smile, breasts, hair, weight, legs, dress sense, bottom, height, skin.
Women: Eyes, smile, height, hair, dress sense, weight, skin, face shape, bottom.
So there you have it. If you want to get noticed pay attention to those things in that order!
According to the survey men voted for Cheryl Cole as being the celebrity with the most attractive eyes and women for George Clooney. George Clooney? What choices did they give them? How old were these women? We'd not disagreed with Cheryl Cole, and we're not saying George hasn't got lovely eyes, but there are a lot of male celebs out there with nicer peepers! Just goes to show, if you angle your survey right you can get any answer you want.
